These reproductions of original Constance Depler art works are now available in 20 by 30 inch, 100% cotton tea towels.
Constance Depler Coleman’s pet portraiture was the rage in the 1950’s. Her path was set when she and the famous artist Mark Rothko were sipping cocktails one night in a smoke-filled bar in Carmel, California. She began sketching people as various dog breeds based on their personalities! Her artwork, highly collectible, adorns the walls of celebrities and political figures.
Today, her daughter, Amanda Coleman Voss, has created Original Depler to celebrate her Mother’s artwork by reproducing it on fine gifts for the home and office. Constance Depler at 88, is still in her studio sketching these truly lovable characters and creating products that remind us that life should be fun and full of laughter!
