This fine woolen blanket is one of several styles that were commissioned under the careful supervision by members of the Salish Tribe. It features the FOUR CORNERS pattern which has tribal symbolism representing the quadripoint of the Navajo Nations. Arrows are widely used in this blanket which usually symbolize direction, force, movement, power and direction of travel, also the pathway of the breath, the life force of the animal spirit, called the "heart line". It also depicts the Medicine Man’s Eye which symbolizes wisdom and the spiral symbolizes renewal.
